bon appetit Cook book

I got this book as a belated birthday gift from my in-laws, Ian, Emily and Sue and those three words - fast, easy, fresh - are music to my ears. The lists of ingredients are pretty short, which is a good sign.

Sue is my sister-in-law, Emily's mom and she is an unbelievable cook. I wish I had 1% of her passion for cooking.

I will make sure to post some recipes that I like. Stay tuned.

Deposit checks with Droid Phone

Hubby just informed me a good news.

The Chase banking app lets you deposit checks by taking a photo of them!!!!
No need to take the rent checks to the bank for the ATM anymore.

They launched the app for IPhone a while ago. I can't believe it took them a half a year to get Droid on board but hey, I'm grateful that they finally did.

Hot chocolate

We went out for a nature adventure walk with my kids to collect some treasures like leaves, broken branches, pine cones, etc. When we came back nothing sounded better than a cup of hot chocolate. Yum. I need to remind myself sometimes life is good with simple things.

Cute miniature Australian shepherd anyone?

My friend has a super adorable 8 month old pure bred miniature Australian shepherd and she can't keep him anymore. He is potty trained and all the shots are current. He's got lots of energy just like other puppies. I wish I could adopt him, but Jina's allergic. Is there anyone interested? My friend really wants him to go to a good home so she wants to interview.
