Celebrating 'Winter'

I can't believe we got so much snow again. Last time when I checked the calendar it was almost the end of February. Oh well, here are some snow day activities my kids did to celebrate winter.

They made a snow man.

Made a family of snowmen.

Licked the spatula.

Pretending to be a snowman.

Made snow flakes.

Made an igloo.

Painted 'The night before Christmas'.

I think we celebrated 'Winter' enough. I'd say it's time for spring. Who's with me?

My master bedroom

High Gloss via Elements of style

It's been already 2 years since we moved to our current home and we haven't done anything to our bedroom. It's currently mismatch of all the furniture rejected from other rooms and we don't even have window coverings. When I saw this picture I gasped. This is the image I struggled to make come alive from my mind for my bedroom. It is so much easier to negotiate with hubby when I have a clear picture in hand because he sees what I'm envisioning :)

Have a warm and nice weekend.

Time Magazine ranked Bellingham the ninth most active city in the US

Bellingham was chosen one of the 15 sportiest city in the US by Time Magazine. With its abundant bike lanes, beautiful hiking trails, ocean and lakes, there is no reason to sit in front of TV all day, right? While I'm not a big contributor of this high ranking, I have to say I love living here. It's a blessing to wake up everyday to be surrounded by such a wonderful nature.
I found this map of activeness done by CDC very interesting. The lighter color represents more active lifestyle.

Spring please!

Since I found these tulip pictures from last Spring, I've been dreaming of warm weather. I can't wait to see if tulips will come back as beautiful as last year.

I always liked the warmth of yellow but my longing for spring makes me swoon over these pictures even more. My crocuses have opened. I smell spring even though it's so faint. I know it's around the corner. Thank goodness February is shorter and thank goodness I'm heading to Hawaii. Yay!!!
